About Household Waste Collections in our area
Since 1994 the Appalachian RC&D Council has organized collections in all 6 counties on an annual basis.

These collections have removed over one half million pounds of potentially toxic chemicals from over 10,000 households in the region.

Thanks to help from Keep America Beautiful Affiliates, Local Governments, Tennessee Valley Authority and other partners these items no longer pose the threat of poisoning anyone or polluting surface and ground water in our region.

These collections, paid for by Tennessee taxes, are only for Tennessee Residents!
