2001-2002 Program Objective Outcome

 

An Americorps NCCC Team Member from Denver, Colorado works with Roy Settle, Project Coordinator of Appalachian RC&D Council on Flood Assistance assignment.

Appalachia CARES members engaged 3,817 elementary and middle school students in a program of service learning.

 

 

Through classroom facilitation and direct tutoring, members assisted students in completing 195 student-initiated service learning projects that had a positive impact on the community and enhanced students’ educational experience.
